Each of these sculptural pieces are hand built and fired in an electric, gas or an Anagama wood kiln - Wood Fired.

Anagama (cave kiln) wood kiln is typically 12 foot long 6 foot wide and 6 foot tall barrel arch tunnel kiln, with a 12 foot chimney.  It consumes 7 cords of wood in the 6 days firing for 144 hours of firing.  Around the clock a team feeds the kiln with 5 - 7 pieces of wood every five minutes allowing the kiln to reach temperatures of 2300 degrees fahrenheit.
This produces colors and finishes that are unique to each piece.
